The process, as of 2026

Nine steps, one plan, no surprises.

This is how your path to Paraguay residency works, with honest time figures from practice and a clear division of labor: what we handle, what you contribute and where it is the authority's move.

  1. 01Package booking

    Your part10 minutes

    You book your package directly through the form. You then receive the invoice, and the 30% deposit becomes due. If you want certainty first, book the optional consultation call (45 minutes, 300 EUR).

  2. 02Document check + roadmap

    Our parta few days

    We review your situation and you receive your written document roadmap for your country of origin: which documents, which authority, which apostille, which deadlines.

  3. 03Documents complete

    Your part4 to 8 weeks, depending on the country

    You obtain your criminal record certificate, birth certificate and apostilles following our roadmap. We check every document before it goes to Paraguay.

  4. 04Trip planned

    Our partflexible

    We coordinate your appointment in Asunción with you. You need about one week on site.

  5. 05Application filed

    Authority1 day on site

    Our partner team accompanies you to every appointment. With the Mesa de entrada, your application is officially in the system. The 70% balance is due at the latest here: in advance by transfer or card, or directly at the appointment.

  6. 06Residency granted

    Authorityapprox. 45 days to 4 months, depending on the package

    The authority reviews your file and grants the temporary residency. You do not have to stay in Paraguay for this; we keep you posted with status updates.

  7. 07Cédula received

    Authorityapprox. 1 to 3 months

    Your Paraguayan ID card. With it you can open bank accounts and sign contracts.

  8. 08Optional: RUC and tax certificate

    Tax ID and Tax Residency Certificate if you also want to use Paraguay for tax purposes. The RUC is available only after you receive your Cédula: included in person with Business Complete, or handled remotely without an extra trip as an add-on. We tell you honestly which requirements apply.

  9. 09Permanent residency

    Our partfrom month 21

    After about two years you switch to permanent residency (valid for 10 years). Keep the 365-day presence rule in mind for this.

Honest time figures

All figures are experience values, not promises. The immigration authority sets the pace, and waiting times fluctuate. After you book, we tell you how things currently look.

Important for later: the 365-day rule

To switch to permanent residency, since January 1, 2026 you must not have been outside Paraguay for more than 365 consecutive days. A short visit each year keeps the clock intact.
